BEADS TO BUSINESS CLASS

1:1 Waist Bead Making & Business Class

Learn the craft. Create a quality product. Build the foundation for something of your own.

Maybe you’ve been thinking about making waist beads for yourself. Maybe you’re ready to explore a creative way to earn extra income. Or perhaps you’ve already tried making waist beads but struggled with choosing the right materials, getting the sizing correct, or creating a finished product that feels secure and professional.

Beads to Business is a private, beginner-friendly class designed to help you move from wondering where to begin to confidently creating a quality waist bead—and understanding how that skill can become the foundation of a business.

This experience is for women who want more flexibility and ownership over how they earn money. You may be a mother looking for income that can work around your family, a woman balancing a full-time job, a retiree ready to explore something creative, or someone entering a new season and searching for a skill you can build into something meaningful.

You do not need previous beading or business experience. You only need a willingness to learn, create, and explore what may be possible for you.

LEARN TO CREATE A QUALITY WAIST BEAD

Before you can confidently sell waist beads, you need to know how to create a product you’re proud to place in someone else’s hands.

One of the most important parts of this class is learning how to make a waist bead that is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, properly sized, and made with quality materials.

During the hands-on portion, you’ll learn:

• How to choose quality beads and stringing materials
• Which materials work best for different waist bead styles
• How to avoid common beginner material mistakes
• How to select colors and beads with intention
• How to plan a balanced, cohesive design
• How to measure and properly size waist beads
• Stringing and finishing techniques
• How to examine your finished piece for quality
• How to create a product you can confidently wear, gift, or sell.

If you’ve purchased waist beads that broke too quickly, fit poorly, or didn’t feel well made—or you’ve tried making them yourself and couldn’t achieve the quality you wanted—this class will help you understand what makes the difference.

Learning how to make a quality product removes one of the first major hurdles between having an idea and building a business around it.

UNDERSTAND THE BUSINESS BEHIND THE BEADS

Once you understand the craft, we’ll explore the foundational pieces of turning your skill into an actual offer.

The business portion may include:

• Identifying the customer you want to serve
• Deciding what types of waist beads you want to offer
• Turning your ideas into clear products and services
• Understanding basic pricing considerations
• Accounting for your materials, time, and business expenses
• Creating an organized ordering process
• Thinking through production, packaging, and fulfillment
• Creating a meaningful customer experience
• Presenting and marketing your work confidently
• Identifying your next practical business steps

Because this is a private class, our business conversation can be shaped around your ideas, questions, current experience, and personal goals.

PICTURE YOUR NEXT SEASON

Imagine sitting down at your workspace and knowing which materials to reach for, how to create a secure waist bead, and how to explain the quality and meaning behind what you’ve made.

Imagine completing your first collection, confidently sharing it, receiving an order, and understanding what needs to happen from payment through production and delivery.

You may begin with a few orders around your existing responsibilities. You may want to build consistent additional income for your household. You may simply want to start creating now and allow the business vision to grow over time.

You do not have to leave this class with every detail figured out. You’ll leave with a quality piece you created, hands-on experience, stronger foundational knowledge, and a clearer path forward.

The goal is for you to feel less overwhelmed by everything you think you need to know and more confident about taking your next step.

WHY LEARN FROM ME?

I’m Alicia, the artist and business owner behind Beaded & Balanced Jewelry.

I have been making waist beads and building my business since 2018. Throughout that journey, I have completed more than 5,000 orders and served thousands of women through my jewelry.

My work has been featured online by Glamour, and I have sold through Etsy, TikTok Shop, live selling, custom invoicing, direct customer conversations, and my own website.

I have created intentional waist beads, custom gemstone designs, color-energy sets, personalized customer experiences, and multiple product offers. I’ve also developed real systems for customer service, inventory, pricing, order processing, production, packaging, shipping, fulfillment, marketing, and content.

Teaching is not new to my journey. I have taught several women how to make waist beads, and when I first started my business, I created an apprenticeship program to help other women learn the craft.

Over the years, I have also received testimonials from women who love the quality, meaning, and experience of wearing their Beaded & Balanced waist beads.

I understand the desire to create income that gives you more flexibility because I am also a mother who wanted to learn how to make my own money without always relying on a traditional nine-to-five for additional income.

I know what it is like to begin with an idea, learn through experience, adjust when something doesn’t work, and continue building while managing real-life responsibilities.

That is the experience I bring into this class.

I am not teaching from theory alone. I am teaching from years of making, selling, serving customers, solving problems, developing offers, and learning what it takes to keep a handmade jewelry business moving.

My goal is to help shorten your learning curve, introduce you to the foundations I wish more beginners understood, and help you begin creating a business that fits your vision and your life.
